It is very rare to find a wide place to enjoy skiing and snowboarding where there are interesting hill like slopes and minimum number of hurdles like mountain rocks and trees. VAL THORENS is best place to float on ice. It is the highest point of the Europe at 2300m altitude. Three valleys link here to give a ski area 600km wide. Many years ago there was a small village in the large valleys of VAL THORENS. There was no resort, no tourist attractions, nothing; only a group of people living a tough life in hard snow and ice cold area. At that time, skiing was not adopted as a recreational activity or sport. There were no skis, shoes or any costumes. Later, in 1988 when skiing was adopted as a sport and was introduced in the Olympic Games, VAL THORENS became the major attraction for skiers and this gave this area an international recognition. Resorts were opened up and area was developed to its best with the world’s best hotels, spas, activity clubs and night clubs. People started to come to their Ski trips here.
The ski trip season starts from the mid November to the starting may. Snow is at its best in this season. The peak season is from January to March. In March and April, ski trips are arranged in a large number as the weather and climate is suitable and enjoyable. Although its cold, but it is normally bearable while in December and January, temperature at the highest points drops down. This point is more attractive to skiers as compared to other snow lovers who like to play with snow or want to try snow activities like snow carting, snow fighting, dog sledding etc. this is the reason that most of the trips organized here are specifically Ski trips rather than a normal one week holiday package.

Attraction spots here include mountain meals. People in Snowvasion love to climb up there and sit there to make new friends and have tempting and sizzling bar b q there while viewing the beautiful white snow scattered all over the area making the world a white peaceful land. You can find world’s largest nightclub in alps here too.

Snowvasion-The Origin of Skiing

Skiing is a recreational activity and a healthy sport that involves travelling on the top of snow with the help of skies. A ski is a narrow strip of wood or any hard material which is worn underfoot to glide over snow, sand or water. They were originally invented to travel over the snow when it is very difficult to walk on it. It was invented and used hundreds of years ago in Norway where snow made it difficult to travel in that area.

People used wood strips and tied them under their shoes to walk to the snow. It was then made a sport and skies started to get common among sportsmen. Snowvasion represents skies in various designs and types. Now people use them for various purposes. Other than the sport, this is one of the favorite recreational activities that people love. People from all over the world specially visit the snowy areas where they can enjoy skiing. Ski Trips are organized in different snowy areas in a specific season where different people enjoy skiing in the presence of special trainers.

Some people get special trainings and become expert in this. They choose skiing as their profession and earn this. They either become stunt men in skiing or acquire the profession of teaching the skills of skiing in various ski trips, sports clubs, schools and summer camps. Other than binding to the feet, skies are also attached to the vehicles that travel on the snow like snow carts. Snow cart is the major attraction while you are out on your Ski trip. That also works on the same principle of attaching metallic, wooden or plastic strips at their bottom.

The first recreational ski club was formed in Australia where first international downhill carnival was also held. This carnival displayed a number of people skiing on the rough patterns made out of snow. It also included moving up and down the snowy hill. This encouraged many sportsmen who practiced and learned skiing techniques for a long time. This laid the foundation of the international skiing competitions and races where skiers form all the parts of world come and compete with each and other to prove them best at travelling on snow. Every year various competitions are organized at various levels and heavy prize money is awarded to the winners by snowvasion. People perform certain dangerous tasks as well which can lead to serious injuries even death if they are not trained enough. Later on, skiing became popular in ski trips and many other activities.
