When looking for a best place for skiing, Snowvasion
always looks for a wide open ground and some high slopes. It is very rare to
find a wide place to enjoy skiing and snowboarding where there are interesting

VAL THORENS is best place to float on ice. It is the highest point of the
Europe at 2300m altitude. Three valleys link here to give a ski area 600km
wide. It is the largest linked ski area of the world.
Many years ago there was a small village in the large valleys of VAL THORENS. There was no resort, no tourist attractions, nothing; only a group of people living a tough life in hard snow and ice cold area. At that time, skiing was not adopted as a recreational activity or sport. There were no skis, shoes or any costumes. Later, in 1988 when skiing was adopted as a sport and was introduced in the Olympic Games, VAL THORENS became the major attraction for skiers and this gave this area an international recognition. Resorts were opened up and area was developed to its best with the world’s best hotels, spas, activity clubs and night clubs. People started to come to their Ski trips here.
The ski trip season starts from the mid November to the starting may. Snow is at its best in this season. The peak season is from January to March. In March and April, ski trips are arranged in a large number as the weather and climate is suitable and enjoyable. Although its cold, but it is normally bearable while in December and January, temperature at the highest points drops down. This point is more attractive to skiers as compared to other snow lovers who like to play with snow or want to try snow activities like snow carting, snow fighting, dog sledding etc. this is the reason that most of the trips organized here are specifically Ski trips rather than a normal one week holiday package.
